12.13.06 "Family" Reunion

Many former Overhaulin' marks and their families got together on Sunday, December 3rd for a different kind of reunion. The event was the John Force Holiday Car Show in Yorba Linda, CA. Chip Foose, show creator Bud Brutsman, and hosts AJ and Chris Jacobs were also on hand for a day of cool cars and fond memories!

Check out the slideshow of the event! (Very special thanks to former marks Jennifer and Chris for the pics!)

11.29.06 "Dream" Come True

"It's about time!"....With those three words from last night's episode of Overhaulin', the mark (Domnick) summed up the feelings of thousands of the show's fans around the country. The episode was the first in what's (hopefully) a new trend for the program in which the cars selected are from states outside of California!

Following a formula I've promoted on this site (no..I'm not taking credit) the show dumped the pranks for this one and the "mark" was surprised at their home and told about the build beforehand. The car was then transported back to California, where production is well-settled and the build could take place smoothly. So smoothly, in fact that they finished a day early!

I applaud the show's producers and the network for listening to the complaints of its fan base and taking a chance by trying a new direction over a proven successful formula. I hope there are many more to come!

11.21.06 Reason for Thanks

This has nothing to do with cars...but not everything should. Given that Christmas is coming, I thought I'd post this poem that was forwarded to me by a young man named Tyler. It's a Christmas poem that reminds us that many of us have a lot to be thankful for.

Take a moment this week to give thanks to those who won't see their families during the upcoming holidays, so that you're able to celebrate with yours.

A Different Christmas Poem
